Like many, I discovered Led Zeppelin sometime during high school. Their unique combination of rock, blues, folk & jazz was a musical awakening for me. Being born in 1987, unfortunately, I thought I would never get to see them perform live. For years I have subsisted on CD’s and concert DVD’s, which even on an incredible sound system lack the energy and punch of a live show.

A few weeks ago I was searching through upcoming concerts when I stumbled upon Get the Led Out. I always enjoy a good cover band and figured there are worse ways to spend a Friday night. As soon as the haunting tones of “In the Evening” exploded with guitars I knew I was in for something special.

Get the Led Out bills themselves as the American Led Zeppelin, and I think that is an apt description. Far more than any cover band this is a faithful reproduction of the Zeppelin we all know and love. This incredibly talented group does not cut any corners, playing every song on the instrument it was meant to be played on.
This ranges from the mandolin in “Going to California” to the theremin of “Whole Lotta Love”, and they even brought out the double-necked guitar for “Stairway to Heaven”.

Besides the fact that, as lead vocalist Paul Sinclair put it, the band looks like it’s fronted by Howard Stern and Ted Nugent, Get the Led Out is the real deal. They satisfied a craving for a real Zeppelin experience that I have had for over a decade now. Whether you were born a few decades too late, or wish you could relieve your glory days, Get the Led Out is an experience that is not to be missed.

  1. I saw Led Zeppelin back in 1969 when they just had their second albumn released. I saw Get The Led Out in Colorado last year. Get The Led Out blew me away. They sounded just like the original albums did. Led Zeppelin in person can't replicate all the studio sounds because they were basically a 4-man group. With Get The Led Out, it's like listening to the albums...highly recommend everyone to go see them...you will not be disappointed.

  3. If you want to present your original music material, or you just want to select your favorite music mixed with some photos, you can do CD & DVD duplication.
