Referring to AfroZep and Mama Digdown's Brass Band as funk bands is kind of a stretch, and yet there they were closing out the second day of Funk Fest. Nevertheless, their performances made for some great photos.

Day two of UW-Madison's Union Terrace Funk Fest featured the likes of AfroZep and Mama Digdown's Brass Band. Though neither is a traditional funk band - AfroZep exclusively plays Led Zeppelin covers and Mama Digdown's is, as stated, a brass band - the rhythm was still there, just in different grooves.

Be sure to check out AfroZep's African-styled covers as well as Mama Digdown's New Orleans-styled originals.

And for you locals out there, go read what's happening at the Union!
